ACTIVITIES
PLAYA MARSELLA is a tranquil beach in a quiet bay and draws visitors from all over Nicaragua and beyond, to relax on the shores or swim in the waves. The beach is bordered by cliffs which taper to the water’s edge housing rock pools at low tide full of tiny fish and sea going critters. In the middle of the bay, a large rock island shaped like a submarine, features in every photo with the background colours changing at sunset or sunrise.
At The Li’l Aussie Hut you can get into Hammockology, read a book from our Book swap library (bring one take one), Beach cricket or the rugby kickoff challenge. Different tours leave from Playa Marsella and we can help you organize your activities if you want to be more adventurous.
AUSSIE HUT DAY PASSES: For $8 U.S. per person you can relax at the Aussie Hut for the day right on the beach. Hammocks galore, shade, bathroom amenities, bar or b.y.o. Sunbake, swim and just chill in a hammock. Do your own thing for the day.
Playa Marsella and its unique shaped bay are home to many types of fish and crustaceans. Fishing from the beach or the rocks is popular while snorkeling or spear fishing in the water can be rewarding with a lobster or two.
